Biosolids & Septage Management Workshop

A very successful workshop was delivered by the ORWC in Alexandria November 16th.  We had an excellent turnout with over 75 participants including many haulers, municipal staff, OCWA operators, provincial staff and consultants present.  The morning session consisted of a series of presentations:

• MOE Update on Regulations
• OMAFRA presentation on NASM (non-agriculture source material)
• Lime Stabilization
• Geotube Technology
• Reed Bed

The afternoon comprised a site visit of the pilot septage reed bed system and a demonstration of lime stabilisation.
